A story about storytelling. Oh, and alien cameras.
We are a group of "homegrown filmmakers" in the Inland Empire, in Southern California. So, we do identify with the characters in our story.
We don't have industry connections or large resources. What we do have is a deep-seated desire to tell cinematic stories. Even on a tiny budget. Even with a bare-bones crew. Even with homemade props. Not because we have to, but because we want to. (Okay, maybe because we have to.)
We hope you enjoy our first 3 episodes. We are very much looking forward to filming the remaining 9 episodes this Summer. We'll keep you posted.
Meet the Main Cast:

Pat Trimmer as PAT
This homespun film fan has more experience in low-budget filmmaking than any of us. (Pat was Assistant Director on my first short film.) She perfectly embodies the “Let’s Make a Movie” spirit. She can direct, build makeshift sets, edit scripts, make props and, if needed, act.

Pierre van der Westhuizen as SOLOMON
A veteran of local theater, Pierre has played an impressive variety of roles for plays and musicals alike. Although not his typical venue, Pierre got into the rhythm of filmmaking right away. He enjoyed the immediacy of our run-and-gun process. And his gravitas is ideal for this role.

Marinda Convis as TRACY
Marinda fell in love with acting from an early age and particularly enjoys musical theater. Besides regularly doing improv in her community, she also is looking to produce her own comedy music songs. She brings a playful humor to the wide-eyed innocence of Tracy.

Chris Coons as KURT
Also a regular participant in local improv, Chris has his hands in every aspect of independent filmmaking. First and foremost a writer, he creates in front and behind the camera. From cinematography to editing, his range of experience enhances his performance.
Meet the Creator of L'MaM Gang:

Baron Vohn Mrkva, WRITER/PRODUCER/DIRECTOR
Baron has had a life-long desire to tell stories. From making Super 8 short films in High School, to writing and illustrating a few comic book tales shortly after graduating, Baron caught the bug early. In his commercial art career, he occasionally got to write and direct cable commercials and corporate videos.
Only now is Baron realizing his ultimate dream of writing, directing, filming and editing his own stories, with the ample assistance of other like-minded local talents.
“I want to produce short films that elicit a genuine sense of awe and wonder. It is the privilege of my late life to get better at cinematic storytelling. May I live long enough to learn well.”
